"I had to share this blurb and photo with Dr. Gilbert. I made it up to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro recently after having hip resurfacing surgery last September. Please pass along my many thanks to him. The hip feels great and I had no problems or pain climbing the mountain. It's pretty amazing what you guys are doing, and I can't recommend it enough for those who were feeling my pain.

Thanks again to you and Dr. Gilbert for everything. See you at my 1-year post-surgery appointment!"

"Hi Doc (Dr. Gilbert),

I just put in my first patrol days this weekend at Dodge Ridge. Weather was wet snow on Saturday with nice California Powder on Sunday. I patrolled both days and it was Great. No hip joint pain at all, but plenty of sore and tired mussels by Sunday evening.

I am full of gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding skill and service that you gave to me. I thought of you and your staff many times over the weekend. I just wanted to say Thank You to You and all involved in giving me many more years of fun on the slopes.

Merry Christmas
With Love, Joy and Gratitude

Dear Dr. Manny: You wrote about the trip to Yellowstone National Park you planned to take after your hip resurfacing surgery. Did you go and how did you manage the trip?
- Curious

Dear Curious: We just came back from a week long trip to Yellowstone National Park . It was our first time there, and we hope to go back soon. It is impossible to describe the experience in simple words, and even the photo images from the best photographers cannot convey the feeling of 'WOW' we had while we were there. The park is huge, and we drove from one end to the other a few times, discovering new things to see each time, including seeing wild animals face to face.

During all of our driving and walking, I never even thought about my hip (only five weeks after the surgery), thanks to the great work of my surgeon Dr. Peter Callander. Now that I am back I am looking forward to hearing from you, and your friends.
